HOW CREATE-O POTATOE WAS FORMED

The idea of Create-O Potatoe was founded in 2020 with the goal to make aspiring and small artists inspired
Though a really small artist, Danyel would recieve messages from fellow tiny artists or those aspiring to be with questions on getting started, exploring styles and generally how to make their ideas come to life. In 2021, after many of reused and recycled art names for her account, the idea of Create-O Potatoe was born. The idea was to create adorable, bright art to help those who followed her more inspired. All the while creating tips, step-by-step, and how-to videos for her teeny tiny audience. After working with aspiring child artists in a workshop, Danyel knew that she wanted her work to be great for both children and adults alike, creating simple techniques and work that can be followed without hassle.

A SMALL BLACK, ST. LOUIS NATIVE ILLUSTRATOR

Funny enough, Danyel has her Bachelor's in English & didn't plan to become an artist
because her original goal was to become a writer, but art has always been a part of her life. Danyel decided to refresh her palette in the art skill when she went into college while working on her BA in English. Taking small art classes on the side, her professors loved her work and encouraged her to make more with her art and the skills she developed. Since starting her business, her goal has always been to appeal to an audience with inspirational cute art appropriate for both children and adults. She found that vibrant, playful colors and styles was her own inspirational target to keep her motivated. Her brand is best represented by her original character Productive Potatoe and Sarcastic Bear with an occassional appearence from the Mysterious Magic Marsh Mello! Each original character is derived from Danyel's personality.
